YUMI Lash Lift PREPRATION AND POST CARE

Preparing for a lash lift treatment

Make sure that you have not used oil-based products on your lashes for 4–8 weeks before the lash lift. Using oil-based products – castor or coconut oil in particular – on lashes will very likely saturate them with oil, leaving an impenetrable film on the lashes. This means that the active ingredients of the treatment cannot penetrate the lashes through the layer of oil, which may have a significant impact on the end result.

Please come to the studio without mascara, if possible and remove your contact lenses if you wear one.

We can not do a lash lift if:

  • you are pregnant or breastfeeding (the substances used in the treatment do not affect pregnancy or breastfeeding, but the body’s changed hormonal function may have a weakening effect on the end result of the treatment and in the worst case, the hairs will not bend at all)
  • you are under 16 years old
  • you are allergic to one of the ingredients of the products
  • you have alopecia
  • you have an eye infection
  • you are currently receiving radiation therapy or cytostatic treatments
  • you have trichotillomania

Home care instructions after a lash lift

  • Do not wet your lashes for 48 hours after the treatment, because moisture may dry out the chemically treated lashes.
  • Do not wear mascara for the following 48 hours.
  • Moisturise your lashes 1–2 per day with Yumi™ Lashes moisturising and nourishing colourless conditioning mascara. Your lashes will stay more beautiful and vital and keep their lovely curl for longer when you moisturise them every day.
  • Brush your lashes every morning and evening to keep them clean and at their best.
  • You can repeat the Yumi™ Lashes lash lift after approximately 8 weeks.

Like any chemically treated hairs, such as permed hair, lashes also require care after a lash lift.

Care is easy: simply brushing the lashes into place every day is enough.

We also very strongly recommend purchasing a home care product intended for this purpose. The only way to ensure the appropriate treatment of the hairs, as well as the permanence of the treatment result, is by using a moisturising and nourishing home care product to care for the chemically treated hair.

The keratin mascara or the serum mascara are both very long-lasting and colourless home care treatment products, and either one of them is suitable for conditioning both lashes and brows.
